WAX Design was engaged to assist the client in realising a series of exterior spaces to compliment their new architecturally designed home in Skye. A challenging steep block and split level home, with great views to the Adelaide Hills created dynamic and varied landscape response. This resulted in an intimate arrival courtyard with feature day bed, local sandstone rock walling to embankments, sweeps of native planting, lawn and putting green and productive garden.

Sustainability has been a key aspect of the project, with the property run solely off rain and grey water systems. Swales and detention basins assist in redirecting stormwater with raised vegetable gardens and a future orchard to reduce food miles. Biodiversity has been retained and enhanced with native and indigenous plantings.
