This contemporary home required a defined, linear ground plane landscape to compliment the strong, vertical architecture of the building.

The feature polished concrete seat was designed as a deconstruction of the built form, transitioning the architecture into the landscape and providing a place to pause and take in the expansive views.

Being a beach front property, consideration was given to drought tolerant, indigenous plants as well as the client's brief of a low maintancence landscape. Reference from the sand dunes adjacent, as viewed from the balcony above also influenced the planting design.
