Adelaide Botanic Gardens Western Entrance

Details:
The project considers a new western entrance to the Botanic Gradens. The concept design was developed through an extensive consultation process involving numerous stakeholders including Botanic Garden staff, Adelaide City Council and members of Adelaide University and UniSA. This engagment process allowed the full potential of the entrance to be explored in detail.

The gates, entrances and landscape setting were designed in collaboration with South Australian artists George Popperwell and Craige Andre and HASSELL. This collaborative design process considered the representation of science, landscape, nature and the environment through artistic metaphor and functional design.
