The Georgetown Urban Design Framework provides a detailed series of recommendations for the reinvigoration of the town. Using a 'planning for real' process involving most of the community, a wide range of creative and innovative ideas were generated that responded to the specific needs of the town.

A masterplan for the entire town set the future directions for development, while public art and signage was used to interpret the rich history of Georgetown. The combination of art, design and community engagement created a framework that responded directly to the town's sense of place.
